I have a couple plants in my apartment thatgrow lightt enough light. There are no windows that give enough light for them. I was wondering if getting a grow light would help them. If so what kind of grow light would be best and where would I get it?

grow lighta grow light for plants but the wattage seems to be higher than the maximum allowed for the light sockets. 60 watts has nothing to do with the capacity of the socket. The socket is rated for the carrying capacity of the circuit that is feeding it.

LED grow lights are coming down in price, but no, you will not get as much light for the same price. No 300w or 600w light of any kind will replace a 1000w HID.

should not led grow lights that are only emitting light in the spectrum the plants use — since led lights are 3-5 x more efficient than incandescent and high pressure sodien and metal hydride, shouldn’t the leds that are not even putting out light in useless parts of the spectrum be 10x or better for grwoing plants?

How high above these flats should I put the light fixture? And does it need to be lowered or raised once the seeds germinate? thanks.
