Are you growing marijuana? It will make it impotent. Lowers the THC to near rope hemp levels. Its best to grow marijuana outside in the sunshine, preferably in the front yard. If you are growing normal houseplants and flowers, LED’s would be a good way to go.

I can’t find any info much that isn’t put out by people who manufacture them, so that’s not much good. I don’t know anyone who uses them either, but apparently you can grow cannabis with them OK. I like my HPS, but I’m used to it, you know. Times change.

I’ve never heard of using those. However, your best bet is to use a tube-tube fluorescent fixture, but do not use those expensive "grow" tubes. Instead, go to a home center and get a cool white and a warm white tube. The cool white is the blue end of the light spectrum for seedlings and new foliage, and the warm white is for the red end for flowers and mature foliage.

Those are expectedly expensive. Consider growing it outdoors. Just make sure that it will be discreet.
