In this video I show how to take a 400 Watt HID Metal Halide Warehouse light fixturgrow lightert it to a grow light that you can you in your home. The same method can be used for high pressure sodium fixtures. These are verticle fixtures but can be converted to horizontal. I bought the fixture, bulb and new cord for $33.50 USD. In This video I show the various CFL grow lights that I have used the past few years and compare. They are all from local stores such as Menards and Home Depot.

I planted these Bell Peppers from seed on July 9th, 2009. I took this video on November 15th 2009. I started to get peppers at the end of September. I currently have about 15 peppers on the plants. The more I pollinate, the more peppers I get. It’s really a pepper machine!

I’m using a mix of two 300 Watt, 2700k bulbs and two 200 Watt 6700k bulbs. I had 4 200 Watt 6700k bulbs at the start until flowers appeared. I had a few unused fluorescent bulbs that I added above them for a little extra kick.
